In addition, preliminary research shows that files from the company network were also stolen in the attack. The nature and extent of this is still being investigated. At this time, Sensata does not expect the incident to have a major impact on the financial results or operations. How the attack could take place has not been disclosed. Sensata has eighteen thousand employees, is active in fifteen countries, including the Netherlands, and had a turnover of 3.6 billion dollars last year. Manufacturing sites are also located in Bulgaria and France.
