The company has taken the network offline, which has consequences for the service. For example, the supplier cannot deliver, receive or produce products, as well as support customers. Sensata announced this in a notification to the American stock market watchdog SEC. The incident began on April 06, 2025 and prompted the company to contact law enforcement.

The company says that it has already started to restore certain functions, but cannot yet say when everything will be restored. In addition, preliminary research shows that files from the company network were also stolen in the attack. The nature and extent of this is still being investigated.
